There are several resources that enable pupils to combine images with sound / narration to create a visual story as a short video and one of the most popular free resources is Photostory 3.
Photostory 3 is a free download form Microsoft that allows the user to import digital images and organize them into a sequence to produce a simple slideshow affect. The software also allows the user to manipulate the images using simple panning, zooming and transitions to greatly enhance the images used. Text, narration and background music can then be added to produce a simple but effective movie presentation. Photostory 3 needs a PC with Microsoft XP and Microsoft Media Player 10 or higher.
