An introduction to Animation within your chosen curriculum area.

Working in groups of two, students will build a computer and identify parts and their functions.

This half day session allows children to work in pairs to create a piece of music using a range of software appropriate to the age, ability and experience of the children.

Podcasts can be used effectively to develop children’s knowledge and experience of writing in a range of genres. This session allows children to create an audio recording and publish it to the web as a simple ‘podcast’.

This is either a FULL or HALF day course depending on your requirements. The emphasis of the sessions depends on your requirements. It is particularly relevant to topics such as Food Chains and Webs, Habitats, Diversity, Characteristics of Living Things. Students will use microscopes to capture digital stills and video, exploring living material where possible. If time is available students will present their work by publishing in their favoured software. The sessions will give accompanying teachers an overview of how such a session can be integrated into their plans.

Using multimedia resources to illustrate a narrative.

 Children will use the 2DIY resource from 2Simple to create their own interactive flash resources such as simple games, puzzles and quizzes. The children can create cross-curricular, personalised resources and use them on whiteboards, websites and even embed them on a blog or learning platform. All resources created by the children will be stored online so that they can be downloaded and used or developed further in school.

The Lego activity will involve learning how to programme the robot and then working in groups to build a construction on it that will carry an object around a course set in the classroom. Each group will produce a publisher report on what they did including photographs. 

This full day session allows children to work in small groups to plan, film and edit a short movie using software appropriate to the age and ability of the children.
